Terms of Service.
Plain English, no fine print.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use our website, request a free preview, or buy a plan from Anchor Point Web Works, a sole proprietorship based in Florida. By using our services, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email us at anchorpointwebworks@gmail.com before you sign up.
Free preview and mini audit
The free preview and mini audit are free, with no obligation to buy. Your preview is for you to review. If you don't sign up, we won't publish it or use your business details, though we may reuse general design ideas from it.
Plans and billing
- Starter and Growth are monthly plans with $0 down. Your first monthly payment is due when your site goes live.
- Starter and Growth have a 12-month minimum term. After that, they continue month to month until you cancel.
- If you prefer no minimum term, you can pay a one-time setup fee instead: $299 for Starter or $499 for Growth.
- Pay Once is a one-time payment of $1,997. Hosting, edits and support are available on an optional $49-a-month care plan.
- Optional extras, such as extra pages ($150 each) and custom logo design ($249), are paid once when ordered.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and charged automatically each month. If a payment fails, we'll let you know, and we may pause your site if it isn't resolved within 14 days.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change on your plan.
Our guarantee
If you're not happy within 30 days of your site going live, tell us and we'll refund your first month's payment (or, on Pay Once, discuss a fair refund for work not yet delivered). After the first 30 days, payments are not refundable.
Changing or canceling your plan
- You can move up to a bigger plan at any time. You can move down once your 12-month term is complete.
- After your 12-month term, you can cancel any time with notice by email to anchorpointwebworks@gmail.com. Your plan ends at the end of the billing month.
- If you cancel during your 12-month term, the remaining months of the term are still due, unless you chose the month-to-month option with a setup fee.
- When a monthly plan ends, you can keep your website for a one-time payment of $499, and we'll hand it over. Otherwise, we take it down.
Your domain
Your domain is registered in your name and always belongs to you. On Starter and Growth, the domain cost is included while your plan is active. On Pay Once, you pay for your own domain.
Edits and support
A small edit is a change that takes about 30 minutes, such as updating text, prices, photos or hours. Starter includes one small edit a month. Growth includes unlimited small edits, each done within 48 hours of your request on business days. Bigger changes, like new pages or features, are quoted before we start.
What we need from you
- Accurate information about your business.
- Only photos, logos and content you have the right to use.
- Prompt replies when we need your approval or details, such as Google verification.
Our 7-day launch timeline depends on getting your approval and anything we need from you on time.
Privacy policy and legal pages
We add a standard privacy policy and text-message consent wording to your site, filled in with your business details, and you approve them before launch. These are templates we provide as a convenience, not legal advice. You're responsible for reviewing them and for your business's legal compliance. If your business needs custom terms or industry-specific policies, you can supply your own wording and we'll add it to your site.
Google and results
We set your site up the way Google recommends and keep improving it on monthly plans, but no one can guarantee rankings, calls or sales. Google Business Profile verification is controlled by Google and can take extra time.
Ownership
Your content, such as your photos, logo and business information, stays yours. On monthly plans, we own the website design and code and license it to you while your plan is active, unless you buy it out. On Pay Once, the finished website is yours once it's paid for.
Hosting
We use trusted hosting providers and keep backups, but we can't promise the site will never be down. If something goes wrong, we'll work to fix it quickly.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.
Ending our work together
We may end our services if a payment remains unpaid, if a site would be used for anything illegal or harmful, or if these terms are seriously broken. We'll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first wherever we can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
Changes and contact
If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here and tell current clients by email. Questions? Email anchorpointwebworks@gmail.com.
